All students have a Writing Journal that is to be kept in their desk at all times. Inside the Writing Journal will be timed writes, works in progress, finished pieces, responses to Guided Reading, as well as numerous lists, pictures, and word work activities.

Always make sure to write your answers in complete sentences. DO NOT RIP PAGES OUT OF YOUR JOURNAL/NOTEBOOK. Start at the very beginning of your notebook and work your way toward the back. DO NOT SKIP PAGES, please. Write on the backs of pages. Number your pages at the bottom center of the page with the page number in a circle.
